SRM Brand History:

SRM (Schoberer Rad Messtechnik) was founded in 1986 by engineer Ulrich Schoberer. The company introduced the world’s first power meter for cyclists, revolutionizing cycling training and competition. Since then, SRM has been synonymous with precision and reliability in power measurement.

Production process:

SRM uses advanced technology in the production of its power meters. The PM9 uses a combination of angle and torque measurement, which allows for more accurate measurements at low cadence and eliminates the effect of oval gears on the data. An integrated temperature sensor ensures maximum accuracy in changing conditions.

LOOK carbon crank arms with Trilobe technology:

The LOOK crank arms, made of high-quality carbon fiber, feature Trilobe technology, which allows you to adjust the length of the crank. Two versions are available.

This flexibility allows riders to fine-tune the crank to their individual needs. The LOOK arms are the lightest in the SRM Origin range, weighing about 252 grams, and feature the narrowest Q-Factor at 146.5 mm.

Carbon-Ti Gears:

Made from the highest quality materials, Carbon-Ti sprockets provide excellent rigidity and durability with minimal weight. Their precise design guarantees smooth shifting and efficient power transmission.

Available axles and their impact on weight and stiffness:

The SRM Origin PM9 offers interchangeable axles in 29mm and 30mm diameters, allowing compatibility with a variety of bicycle frames. The choice of axle affects the weight and stiffness of the set.

• 29mm axle: Made of titanium, it weighs 104g. It provides excellent stiffness with low weight, which is ideal for riders looking for lightweight solutions and fantastic power transfer in sprints. The titanium axle costs 1,600 PLN more.

• 30mm and 29mm axle : Made of aluminum, weighs 116 and 115 grams. The 29mm aluminum axle is an alternative to the titanium version, offering similar stiffness with slightly more weight. It is a suitable choice for riders looking for a good compromise between weight and price.
